Hidden Object Quiz

Creating this game was easy or at least easier than it would have been when I first came to this school. I created this game by making 5 symbols and making them all graphic. I put them each in their own layer and gave them instance names. I also made a flash layer where I put all my code in and then published and saved.

What was it like to program in Flash for the first time?
This is not my first time programming in flash I've been doing this for 4 years.

Drawing Background

It was difficult because the drawings are more curvy than the precise lines on flash. Also it was fun because I used the drawing tablet.

I learned that creating a game in flash is alot easier because the lines are more precise.

The easy part was drawing the bigger bulkier things. The harder part was drawing the hidden objects

Plan Game Scene

My vision for my game is a lit up room, very messy and very compact. In this room there is a lot of healthy foods as well as unhealthy foods that you have to look around and find all the healthy foods. What excites me is I get to educate other people about healthier choices and that I might make a difference in another persons life and helping people out.

Obesity Topic

My topic is obesity because it is a rising factor in America especially among the younger generations. Also some of the people in my family are obese and they think it is okay but it really isn't.

Ninjas vs Pirates

The game taught me more about the Asian culture and weapons they would use.

It also taught me about pirates and what weapons they would use.

Presidential Debate.

I thought the debate was mediocre to get and I got both presidents points. Somehow I got the debate down to a science because I knew that Romney was going to always redirect to Obama and not answer any questions directly and Obama would just shake his head and smile. They are alot smarter than me but they made a lot of not-so-smart decisions.

Danger of a Single Story

1. What does it mean to have a 'single story' about a place or community? It means the stereotypes are all bundled together to form a story about the community of people. 2. Describe a single story you have heard told about your community. What is missing from that story? How could people learn more about that community? I have never actually told a story about my community. 3. Describe a single story you have heard about another community. How did you learn that story? How could you find out more about that community? I don't think I have heard a story about someone else's community, but I have heard about my dads past. 4. How could a game let players experience many stories about a place or community? It could let them experience the community by telling other peoples stories about their hardships and accomplishments.

A New Year

How has your school year been thus far?

 My school year ,this far, has been pretty crazy. Especially since the first two weeks were just a mess of wrong schedules and not dressing in the right apparel.

How are your classes?

Most of my classes are nice but there are some classes where the teacher doesn't even rule the classroom. One of those classes is my Common Applications class where the teacher responds to the class talking with silence. Another is my World Geography class.

What do you hope to accomplish this year in Academics, Sports, Art, Music, etc..........

What I hope to accomplish is to pass all my classes with a 80 or above for the rest of the school year.

  I thought it represented the school well and got the schools name out.

 It made me feel special.

It would be awesome because I would like to give a speech and present my game.

I would have liked the author to mention my game as wanting to play again and again.

  I think he should have mentioned Journey to Greece because in my opinion that game was very well animated.

Forks Over Knives

1. What do you think this documentary will be about?
          I think it will be about eating more salads and fruits besides meat products.

2. What do you think the title implies or indicates about the film?
          It implies that killing animals is wrong since most meats have to be cut with a knife while most vegetables or fruits have to be eaten with a fork.

Respect

What does Respect look like? To me Respect looks like someone trusting and listening to another person. Respect in the hallways looks like someone moving over for another person to pass by. In the classrooms Respect is all about listening and not talking while other people are talking and doing what your told. In the computer lab Respect is when you are being quiet and blogging or doing work peacefully and not playing games behind the teachers back. During breakfast and lunch is when respect is picking up after yourself and leaving when your supposed to and saying thank you to the lunch people. When we have visitors Respect is saying hello in the hallways and to not be afraid to show them your work. You should also have your shirt tucked in when they are here.

Our games Audience is for 11 through 15 years of age. The style of our game is very moody with darker colors. Save all my work in my USB or skydrive. We also need to make buttons to go back and fourth. I think Ernest and Arnold have there scene for the game done,I have my scene done.I have not uploaded my scene yet though and I will make sure they have an underscore.

Nike

Tiger Woods makes 100,000,000 dollars for wearing clothes while workers in Indonesia only make enough to live. The CEO of Nike doesn't want to talk about the Indonesian worker .Meals in Indonesia are very valuable. Phil Knight is cruel and wont even donate more than 10,000 dollars. Nike workers or human rights people who try to overcome Nike get beaten,tortured, or even killed. Living conditions in Indonesia are terrible there are open sewers and toxic burning rubber wast's were children play that cause cancer. Flint,Michigan needs jobs but Phil Knight wont build a factory in America because he says no one wants to build shoes.

Object in the Sky!

How could you take this real-life event and turn this into a game?I would make it into a game where an alien named frank has crash landed and he needs your help with alternative energies to get his ship powered up again.What genre would you focus on? Alternative Energies. What skill or topic would your game teach? Where to strategically put and why Alternative Energies are needed for example solar panels. What would the player have to do in the game? Place things like solar panels and wind turbines next to the ship to power it up. What would the hero of your game look like? The enemy? The hero could be a boy or girl and your friend would be the alien no enemies just wrong choices.  What type of animations or sounds would the player see and hear?Would hear a crashing noise in the beginning and an alien and you in the beginning. What would be the title of your game? Alien in trouble.

My Gaming Habits

What types of games do you enjoy playing?First Person Shooters,and Adventure games. What are the titles?Arkahm City, Dead Island, MW3,MW2, and Drakes Uncharted 3. When did you begin playing games, on what type of game system? When I was three I started playing the N64 with my dad.Do your parents/guardians limit the amount of time you are allowed to play games? No if anything my dad would make me stay up with him and play.Do you think it is possible to get completely addicted to playing video games? Why or why not? Yes because my mom says I'm addicted to the game already.
